Originally founded and developed by Tom Greenwood,  Degama Systems was created to service the needs of the expanding ERP system market. Degama’s main focus at the time was to provide accounting and operations solutions to various industries.

Degama acquired a trucking firm as a client and started to develop their billing and rating systems. The LTL firm was impressed with Degama’s ability to efficiently address their growing “auto-rating” concerns as well as their need to quickly enter and recall data.

Degama acquired more clients using their trucking software and deployed its operations systems to their facilities. The trucking firms were exceptionally pleased with Degama’s ability to integrate both the operations and accounting aspects of the business.

Degama chose to specifically focus on the trucking industry. Acquiring clients in various sectors, including inbound logistics, heavy haulers and brokerage, Degama was able to apply its unique systems to their organizational needs.   Realizing that no two firms were unique in their processes, Degama embarked on providing customizable and configurable systems to all firms in the transportation industry.

The original founder is still heading development in response to existing customers needs. The focus is on both mid-size and large trucking firms.
